The Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) of Pakistan has announced job openings for various positions, including Legal Advisors and Finance & Accounts Specialists. Below are the details for these roles:

1. Senior Legal Advisor

  • Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education in Law from an HEC-recognized institute/university. Foreign qualifications in Petroleum Laws, Policy, and Contracts are preferred.
  • Experience: A strong professional background with relevant experience in the upstream petroleum sector, law firms, or major industrial groups. Must have a valid license to plead cases.
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 1,200,000.

2. Legal Advisor

  • Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education in Law from an HEC-recognized institute/university. Foreign qualifications are preferred.
  • Experience: Strong understanding of legal frameworks in Pakistan for upstream petroleum sector policies and laws. Experience in international arbitration courts is a plus.
  • Age Limit: Up to 40 years.
  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 600,000.

3. Junior Legal Advisor

  • Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education in Law from an HEC-recognized institute/university.
  • Experience: Understanding of Pakistan’s petroleum laws and policies. Must have a valid license to plead cases in High Courts.
  • Age Limit: Up to 40 years.
  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 400,000.

4. Finance & Accounts Specialist

  • Qualification: 16 years of education in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance from an HEC-recognized institute or university, preferably with an advanced degree in the relevant field.
  • Experience: 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Age Limit: Up to 40 years.
  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 400,000.
