Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages in Jamshoro has announced multiple faculty positions for 2025. The available roles, along with their respective qualifications and experience requirements, are as follows:https://www.jobz.pk/

1. Professor (BPS-21) – 4 Positions:

• Departments: Communication Design (1), Textile Design (1), Fine Arts (1), Architecture (1)
• Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s (Foreign) or M.Phil. (or equivalent) in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience:
  • 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or relevant institution.
  • For Ph.D. holders: 8 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience.
  • For M.Phil. holders: 17 years of teaching/research experience.
• Publications:
  • 12 research publications in HEC-recognized journals.
  • For Architecture: Recognition in national/international design competitions can be considered.

2. Associate Professor (BPS-20) – 4 Positions:

• Departments: Communication Design (1), Textile Design (1), Fine Arts (1), Architecture (1)
• Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s (Foreign) or M.Phil. (or equivalent).
• Experience:
  • 10 years of teaching/research experience.
  • For Ph.D. holders: 5 years post-Ph.D. teaching experience.
• Publications:
  • Participation in six exhibitions at the national/international level.
  • For Architecture: Participation in two major international exhibitions.

3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – 4 Positions:

• Departments: Communication Design (1), Textile Design (1), Fine Arts (1), Architecture (1)
• Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  • Alternatively, an M.Phil. (or equivalent) with 18 years of education.
• Experience:
  • For M.Phil. holders: 4 years of teaching experience.
  • For Master’s holders: 6 years of experience.

4. Lecturer (BPS-18) – 3 Positions:

• Departments: Communication Design (1), Textile Design (1), Architecture (1)
• Qualifications:
  • First Professional Degree (4 Years, First Division) from an HEC-recognized university.
  • For Architecture: First Professional Degree (5 Years, First Division).
• Experience: Not required.
• Publications: Not required.

General Terms & Conditions:

• Application Submission:
  • Applicants for Professor positions must submit three copies of their bio-data, experience details, and other relevant documents.
  • Candidates applying for multiple posts should submit separate application forms and challans for each.
• Testing Requirements:
  • Lecturer applicants must have a valid GRE score with a minimum of 50%, obtained on or before the closing date.
• Professional Registration:
  • Applicants for the Architecture faculty must have valid registration with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP).
• Contract Terms:
  • Initial appointments will be on a contract basis for three years.
• Domicile Requirement:
  • Only candidates with a domicile of Sindh province are eligible to apply.
• Current Employment:
  • Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies should apply through the proper channel, accompanied by a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• Application Completeness:
  • Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
• Deadline:
  • The last date for submission is April 10, 2025.
• Selection Process:
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for tests/interviews.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview/test.
• University Rights:
  • The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withdraw any advertised positions without assigning any reason.
• Previous Applicants:
  • Candidates who applied in the previous advertisement (PID (H) 75/2022 dated 15/09/2022) must reapply but do not need to pay the challan fee again.
