Job Summary
The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and oversee budgeting and financial planning. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and university policies.
- Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Assist in auditing procedures and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor expenditures and financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Provide financial insights to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform other duties assigned by the department.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA (Inter), or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
- 2+ years of experience in financial management, auditing, or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
